PRAYER FOCUS: THE BLESSING OF GOD
Text: Genesis 9:1 – 2
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. [kjv]
The blessings of God is simply a divine empowerment that causes men to triumph and prevail. It is an expression of God’s loving kindness and honor to man.
Blessing is a statement of good will and happiness that is said about another, as well as the condition that fulfills those good words. God’s original design in creation was for His creatures, including mankind, to experience prosperity, peace, and fulfillment, but that design was ruined when sin entered the world. Statements of blessing are a wish for God to restore His favor on man or a declaration of His inherent goodness.
The blessing of God carries growth potentials and power to sustain and preserve.
This means the following: –
- Fruitfulness, when you are blessed you must be fruitful. Dryness and barrenness is forbidden. Multiplication, The blessings of God forbids stagnation. The blessing makes large without limits. There is no boundaries because the blessing connects you to a God who has no limits.
- Replenishment – God’s design is for us to fill up, to be everywhere. God wants us to reflect His glory everywhere on earth.
- When we are blessed then we take charge. There is power and authority in the blessing. The blessing(s) of God is a vehicle of power and authority.

Ask the Lord to bless you indeed.

Obedience to God is key to the blessings of God.
