PRAYER FOCUS: THE MANIFEST OF GOD’S GLORY

Text: JOHN 2:9-11
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the Governor of the feast called the bridegroom, And saith unto him, Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now. This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.

It is the will of God that we should make manifest the glory of God in all seasons and situations. This is important especially when it looks as though there is a mess.

The glory of God is always made feasible in human inabilities and limitations.

In John 2:1-11, we saw Jesus in a wedding at Cana of Galilee where His mother, disciples/servants and siblings were present. Without a doubt, this is a family and friends gathering where there should be excitement and merriment after all it is a wedding!

Suddenly, everyone was thrown into panic because they have ran out of wine. But Jesus was there, though not as a Governor of the feast but as an ordinary guests. Now, this is a time for Jesus to manifest His glory and power. Mary, His mother perceived this is the time for Him to perform some miracles.

When Mary confronted Jesus with the situation, Jesus almost didn’t want to do anything cos He felt it wasn’t time yet, but Mary knew he was irritated and feels disappointed when the wine got finished. Though, He wasn’t the governor but he felt much pressure over the situation than the way the governor of the feast would have felt. There is away we feel about some unpleasant and ugly situations that propel us to act fast, these therefore, are moments where the glory and power of God in us is made manifest and feasible.

Jesus, manifested His glory and power in that ugly situation and just in a moment, the joy, peace, honor, hope of everyone was restored. Because He manifested His power.

You may at this point have the same feelings Jesus had and God wants you to manifest his glory and power.

I will suggest that you do what Jesus did.

Boldly take a brave step and take full charge over all circumstances and the environment where you are be it a country, communities, family, fear or anxiety or any form of unpleasant situations that irritates your anointing or potentials.

I speak in the Name of Jesus, divine intervention in every situation right now.

Prayer:

      • Lord in the Name of Jesus, I take charge over every situation I am meant to handle by the measure of grace given to me.
      • Lord send human vessels my way who will help me starve my fears and anxiety and feed my faith and confidence.
      • Lord Jesus, as you made Jesus in the wedding more important than the governor of the feast who had nothing to offer for the situation, pls bring me forth to the place of authority and honor as you brought Jesus in the wedding from the background to the forefront.
      • Lord I pray that you restore every lost peace, hope and confidence in Jesus’ Name.

    Food for Thought
When we insist on God’s divine intervention, He will always show forth and turn things around for our good.

    Counsel
Confidently and authoritatively speak over situations and command things to be as you would wish, don’t just frown at them.
