Emmet Gospel Church is a church of the Lord Jesus Christ founded on the truth of the word of God to prepare the saints or the believer of the Lord Jesus for His second return. It is a word-based Bible church with the responsibility to preach and teach the truth of God’s word.

The Church started as a Ministry, a non-denominational gathering on July 1st, 2021.

I perceived the call of God on my life as far back as 2004 but I had no direction because there was no specificity to the call as regards to starting a Ministry or to serve under any local church. Nevertheless, passion for God and His work increasingly grew and I became addicted to praying for the sick especially. Since then, I couldn’t control my emotions when I see people in pain especially illnesses, diseases or any form of ailment and emotional issues. I always see myself beyond where I was to touching lives of God’s people through His Word.

In 2014, two years later after graduation from the University and having completed my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) with Development Contriol/ FCDA Abuja and worked awhile, till I got connected to Dunamis International Gospel Centre, under the leadership of God’s servant Dr. Pastor Paul Enenche, where I saw a model in him and without hesitation , Immediately I went through their Foundation class, Maturity class and Bible school (DUSOM) in 2015 and remain dedicated as a Dunamis home church leader.

In August 2019, I had an Encounter with the Lord in the dream of the Night, which I thought it was physical. It was more real as though it was physical, but then it is a dream! In that Encounter, a book was handed to me to read through ,when I opened, It was Isaiah 61:1-2 but it was on a paper and was marked /ticked good. When I looked carefully I saw a bold write up ; Written, “MAKE FREE” and in that instance, I saw myself addressing a large crowd of people who came to me to be Ministered to; I do see myself ministering to people consistently preaching Isaiah 61:1-2 and the presence of God will always intense for liberation and miracles.

When I woke up from that encounter I lost my peace I became restless and increasingly passionate for praying for the sick and the afflicted.

In the year 2020 during COVID, I decided to start a 3 days fasting and prayers every beginning of a month with other brethren in the vicinity while ministering to other people who come from far for prayers and counseling in numbers and it was effective so much so that that my seating room was no more accommodating because of space.

In the 2021, July first, we got a place at HFIA GARDENS beside Garki Hospital and started holding meetings every Friday. Amazingly, our numbers grew faster. On October, 8 the Ministry was commissioned and I was ordained as a Pastor by Pastor Efanyi Ekpe.

In July, 2021 knowing fully God has called me to work for Him all my days, I began to enquire from the Lord through prayer and fasting for days on specific steps to take, on the last day of the fasting I had an invitation to minister somewhere in the church. The night before the day of the program in the dream of the night I saw a very bold write-up SPEAK THE WORD and I heard a still voice saying to me, 'I will give you utterances and your words shall be filled with wisdom, power and demonstration of the spirit'.

Then I went for the ministration and God confirming His Word with intense presence and power. After the ministration, incredibly 95% of the congregation were literally touched and were in tears and demanded to see me privately which took me about four hours to see them all.

When I got home, I became restless seeing the number of people who were touched. I felt almost guilty hiding in my porch while there are many people whose destinies and salvation of their souls are linked to my ministry. Few days later, in the dream of the night was when God gave me a clarity about His assignment for my life.

I saw JOHN 8:32 and it reads; YE SHALL KNOW THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH SHALL MAKE YOU FREE. Then I knew that the Vision was made clear. Now, recalling to the earlier encounter in 2019, that read “MAKE FREE” with Isaiah 61:1-2, I realized that the Mission is also clear.

The word EMMET therefore is a Hebrew word for Truth.

By privilege of this divine calling, God in His faithfulness and mercy made known His purpose and His intention to His servant Pastor RISKU YUNANA YADUMA by spelling out in detail the call and the mandate Heaven placed on the Ministry, EMMET GOSPEL CHURCH.

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:32)
The vision of Emmet Gospel Church is birthed out from the scripture above. God’s servant receives the vision of seeing the world of freedom as a possibility through encounter with the Living Word of God.

There won’t be a life of freedom without genuine encounter with God through the person of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ the incarnate and the revealed Word of God. In Emmet, the Word of God is the confidence we have for all deliverances, revolution, transformation and all forms of miracles, signs and wonders. Also, the only sure way for the salvation of the souls of men to life with God here and after.

Therefore, encounter with the Word of God in Emmet Gospel Church is considered the biggest miracle that can happen aside other acts of God.

The word EMMET, can also be substituted with the Word JESUS our Master and Savior. So encounter with the word, equals encounter with the person of Jesus. John.14.6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the TRUTH, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. (Luke 4:18-19)

EMMET GOSPEL CHURCH has 6 missions through which the Vision can be achieved successfully. These Missions are also called the Pillars or the Body of the Commission. Every of these pillars are too relevant to be ignored, and so they must all be carried into cognizance.
1. Preaching the Gospel to the poor. In other words, Evangelism is not an option.
2. Healing of the broken hearted. Everyone with heartbreaking issues is an emergency calling for attention in Emmet Gospel Church.
3. Preaching deliverance to the Captives. In Emmet we believe that there are people who are still held captive by satan through ignorance of what heritage they have in Christ. Though they are born again still afflicted.
4. Recovering of Sight to the blind. There are people who have sight yet they are blindfolded by the enemy and can’t even see into God’s word as they should.
5. Set at Liberty they that are Bruised. In Emmet Gospel our goal or would I say destination is Freedom from all the wickedness of the enemy of mankind. Be it sickness or disease, oppressions, power of premature death, ancestral curses, limitations and all form of human pains.
6. Preaching the coming of our Lord Jesus. The consciousness of the return of Christ to rapture the church of the believers.

WORK IT OUT Work-it-out is a transformative summit for both married and single individuals at Emmet Gospel Church, held 3-4 times a year. This event serves as a beacon of guidance, support, and wisdom for all.

The summit's mission is to strengthen relationships through insights on love, conflict resolution, communication, and nurturing a joyful home. Participants benefit from biblical teachings, practical advice, and interactive sessions with inspiring speakers, including Pastors and Ministers.
