PRAYER FOCUS: PRESERVATION THROUGH GOD’S BLESSING
Text: Isaiah 65:8 – Thus saith the LORD, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one saith, Destroy it not; for a blessing is in it: so will I do for my servants’ sakes, that I may not destroy them all.
There is nothing that preserves life like God’s blessings. The blessing is an antidote against a curse. There is no need to be afraid about bad will, the blessing is a defense!
We may not be able to know what blessings does in our lives until we truly understand how curse works.
Blessings and curses are similar in their nature but directly opposite in outcome.
- Blessings uplift while a curse degrade!
- Blessings of God is behind the making of men which comes with FAVOUR, prosperity,longevity peace, and general wellbeing of a person and all that he has.
- Curses are foundation of ill will, misfortune, hardships, illness, crisis, losses, disappointment, pains, stagnation, bad energy and all forms of negative influence.
Both can be invoked by powerful words; Blessings speak well, Curses speak ill. We are praying because there are people who love to curse others through all means. They derive pleasure when their victims are in crisis and this we must not ignore, we need to speak back against them in the same proportion in the of Jesus!
The scriptural text today is very clear. “destroy not for a blessing is it “ the word destroy not, can be substituted with the word Curse not. This is a powerful warning to those who love cursing.
As we begin to pray for the blessings of God on our lives this year, God will preserve all that is connected to us as well.
To be preserved means to remain intact, nothing missing, nothing lacking, honor and integrity are in place, in the Name of Jesus!
Prayer
- Lord, I thank you for there is a blessing in me that shields me against all evil. Put more of your defense around me Lord.
- Oh Lord, Preserve me and all that is connected to my destiny.
- Curse those who curse me!
- Let your blessings be evident in my life, family and the works of my hands.
