PRAYER FOCUS: THE POWER OF RIGHT WORDS
Text: Matthew 12:37 – For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned. [kjv]
The word we confess determines the life we live and manifest per time. Right confession can make or mar a destiny. We are not more than the words we speak. God wants us to keep on speaking the right word
Words are not simply sounds caused by our mouths shaping air passing through our larynx. Words have real power. God spoke the world into being by the power of His words (Hebrews 11:3). Humans are made in God’s image, and our words also have power.
Our words have the power to destroy and the power to build up (Proverbs 12:6). The writer of Proverbs tells us, “The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit” (Proverbs 18:21). Are you using words to build up people or destroy them? Are they being filled with hate or love, bitterness or blessing, complaining or compliments, victory or defeat? Words are tools that can make life better or worse!
I decree and declare that your words this year will build people and bring healing to their wounded spirit. I pray that our words this year will change the situation drastically to the glory of God.
I decree and declare that from today you shall begin to speak the right words in Jesus’ name.
This is important because our words should demonstrate the power of God’s grace and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our lives. May God enable us to use our words as an instrument of His love and saving grace this year in Jesus’ Name.
Prayer
- Lord, I receive the grace for right utterances in the name of Jesus.
- In the name of Jesus, the words I shall speak this year will not contradict my destiny no matter what!
- Lord, help me to speak authoritatively in the Name of Jesus!
- By virtue of the UNLIMITED BLESSING of God this year, take authority against every opposition and speak like you know you are truly blessed (Gen 9:1-2)
